The countdown begins...
10 days left and counting until I am a college graduate! Hal-le-lu-jah, Hal-le-lu-jah, Hal-le-lu-jah! How about one more time...Hallelujah! I can't believe that it is finally here. I am finishing up my student teaching and couldn't be happier. All good things must come to an end, right? Although I don't know how good it was?! After 2 years of schooling at BYU, 2 cohort teaching experiences, and 12 weeks of student teaching, I have decided one thing, and that is....teaching is not for me (at least for right now). Isn't it ironic that after four years of studying and one bachelor's degree later, I want nothing to do with what my education has given me and have no idea what to do with my life?! Oh well, I'll grow up and figure it out someday.

I agree! Maybe I will consider teaching again. I hope everything is going well in UT. Are you going to stay in UT after you graduate or does Nate still have more school?
Amen! Life is funny. We've known since you were 2 what you were meant to do- MOMMY. Period. Love you and can't wait to see you in H-town! I'll be there the 30th!
Linley--I couldn't be happier for you! Isn't it such a great feeling to be DONE?? To have looked back and be able to say, "I have a degree from BYU" -- For me, I felt such a sense of accomplishment, so I hope you do too! Congratulations! You did it! And there are quite a number of people who never end up doing what they went to school to do--so I wouldn't feel bad...at least you CAN if you want to--that's what matters, right?? We love you and hope we get to see you soon! OH, and Happy Birthday NATE!! We love you too! ;)
Linley,
I just found your blog through many others and laughed at your comment about not wanting to teach. I remember feeling the exact same way! I did give it a try after doing something else for a little bit and eventually I remembered why I got a degree in teaching. Then I had Charley and quit. Life is funny sometimes. Congratulations on graduating!
Denise and fam.
